Hello, internet people!  I know it's been a bit, and I'm sorry about that. School, the paper and such has me pretty well bogged down some days.  The good news is now I have something interesting to say this time around! 

We here at BG held our own juggling convention (Burning Club 2008) this weekend! It was a great time; we had a bigger turnout than what I expected. We had some amazing jugglers there, like David Cain, Doug Sayers, Joe Showers, the lovely Laura Ernst, and the DAZZLING MILLS FAMILY!  It was awesome! I'm still geeking out a little; you'll have to excuse me.

Anyway, I saw a few old faces, mostly those I met at Madfest (It's a convention in Wisconsin) and those unofficial BG club members who don't always have the time to show up. I met a few new people, learned some new tricks and just absorbed the awesome!

One quick story, and I'll put up a few photos. Alex, our fearless leader, and our VP, Chris, made a series of Youtube videos promoting the convention (just search Burning Club on Youtube) and there was a whole story about the coming of the "good and perfect" white club. Chris, however, corrupted by the evil black club, wants the white club and its powers for his own. There were four parts to the story, the fourth of which was revealed during our show at the convention.

Alex and Chris were about to battle when suddenly the scene cut away and a cheesy 80s song started playing. We were Rickrolled. Weeks of anticipation, and they Rickrolled us. Kudos, guys. We never saw it coming. I salute you.

Sean, Bethany and I graduating from the School of Awesome. I never thought I'd earn two diplomas this year. The rest of the club gave us bags full of little gifts, which was really great of them.  Thanks so much! I love you guys!
