Musings: Chapter 1

Hey, internet people!

This is kind of a wierd observation, so let me know if anyone else has felt this way before:

I always feel at home when I shake out the rug.

I wish I was making that up. There really is something about stepping outside onto the front porch, watching what was left of winter's snow drip off the branches, and all around enjoying all a nearly-spring day has to offer while doing some menial household chore.  It's like "Hello, world! I have a piece of my home!  And I'm cleaning it!"
Just kinda reminds me of those old 50's TV shows with all those houses lined up, the wives cleaning while the husband's pushing papers....every once in a while one of the women popping out the front door to shake off the rug...Yes, times have changed. I'll say it now before anyone shouts from their soapbox.
But yeah, just menial little chores like that make me feel at home.  I guess it's been a while since I've been able to do that kind of thing.  You know, being away at school and all.

Sure, chores are annoying sometimes, but when you look at it, it just means you're home.

-Adam

I'll be funny next time, I promise.

Oh, Adam. You are adorable. Personally, shaking out the rug makes my allergies go into attack mode, but for you, it makes you feel at home. That is just too cute!
